Three Step System

Connector (Bonding Agent)
A bonding agent providing adhesion between the natural nail or tip and the product. You might think of it as a “two-sided sticky tape”. Connector is to be applied in a very thin layer; it should not be shiny and the texture of the nail plate should still be visible.

Available in 7ml, 15ml, 50ml & 100ml

French Modeling Resin (White Builder)

Used to extend the free edge to create a “French Manicure” look. French Modeling Resin can be applied onto the natural nail, a tip or a form. The applied layer should not be too thick. It should not appear as a solid white on the form, but with the grid of the form slightly showing through.

Available in 7ml, 15ml & 50ml

Modeling Resin (Builder)

A clear building gel that adds strength and durability to your enhancement. Recommended; two medium-thickness applications for new sets (not one very thick coat, which would generate more heat). Three or more thinner applications may be used for very sensitive clients or those with damaged nails (e.g. previous improper use of electric files or careless removal of nail extensions from a powder and liquid acrylic system, etc.)

Available in Pink, Soft Pink, Cool Pink and Clear in 7ml, 15ml, 50ml & 100ml.

Sealer (High Gloss Finish)

Used to finish the nail service and provide a very high gloss shine on a scratch resistant surface. Application is to be generous, thicker than connector. Make sure to avoid cuticle contact.

Available in Clear or Pink in 7ml, 15ml, 50ml & 100ml.

Brief Application Guidelines for en Vogue's 3-Step System

en Vogue Products are light curing resins. Each Product layer must be cured in the UV light for 2 minutes. A sticky dispersion film will remain after each curing. Do not wipe off between layers ( the next layer adheres to this). Wipe only before filling (if required) and after the final curing.

A light cured nail enhancements can generate a brief heat sensation during the hardening/curing process. The intensity of this depends primarily on the thickness of the application and the power output of the UV unit. Inform your client of this and ask her to remove the hand from the light unit if it becomes uncomfortable for her. Wait for sensation to subside and then continue full curing.

1) Connector: The bonding layer. It is applied to the nail and teh product adheres to it. Applied in a thin, even layer, over cleansed natural nail or blended cleansed tip. It should look "grainy" or textured one applied. If the connector looks shiny, it is too thick. Remove access with gel brush before curing.

2a) French Modeling Resin: for creating a white free-edge extension or enhancing a tip. The French should be applied thinly. If using forms, you should be able to see the grid through the white. This is to ensure a proper cure. However, it should be thick enough to cover the clients natural nail. If necessary apply two thin layers after one another rather than one very thick. When building an extension on a full set, the resin can be placed into the curing unit for 15 seconds, one nail at a time, to hold or "freeze" the product in place. This prevents any sliding of product and frustration as students are developing their speed and skill. A full 2-minute cure will still be necessary.

2b) Modeling Resin: a clear building gel that adds strength and durability to your enhancement. Recommended: Two medium thickness applications for new sets (not one very thick coat, which would generate more heat). Three or more thinner applications for may be used for very sensitive clients or those with damaged nails (e.g. previous improper use of the electric files or careless removal of nail extensions from a powder and liquid acrylic system etc.)

3) Sealer: a high glass shine and durable scratch resistant surface.
Applied thicker than connector. Appearance should be glossy and smooth before and after curing. Depending on a light unit some additional curing (e.g. and extra minute) may improve shine!

Helpful Hints

Nail Preparation: Thorough, gentle nail prep is essential both for lasting adhesion as well as natural nail health. en Vogue is a non-aggresive product that adheres best to a clean, oil free surface.

Extending: recommended maximum extension length should not exceed 2/3 of the natural length of the clients natural nail plate. Two methods: 1) Tip application or 2) Sculpting with a Form.

Filling: wipe dispersion film before filling. Check uniformity, shape, length and thickness.

One Component

This product may be explained as Connector, Modeling Resin and Sealer combined into one product for versatility and simplicity. One Component enables nail technicians to speed up time. Application must be in three steps 1) Thin, like connector 2) Thicker, for strength 3) Thin again, like sealer. Cure after each coat. This product is best suited for fills, tips, overlays and resin toe applications. It is not designed strictly as a building product, but perfect for clients who have a natural c-curve and/or naturally strong nails.

Available in Pink or Clear in 7ml, 15ml, 50ml & 100ml.

Application Guidelines For One Component

Preparation

1. Gently push back cuticles.

2. Lightly buff nails, removing shine.

3. Dust off well with dust brush.

4. Wipe nails with Prep & Clean, using a lint free pad, to remove oils and dust and to disinfect.

5. Place nail forms under free edge of natural nails (follow Application with Nail Forms), or apply tips (follow Application with Tips).

Application

1. Apply a thin even layer of One Component over prepared natural nail, or on a blended tip (if extending). Be sure not to get any product on the cuticle.

2. Cure 2 minutes in light unit. Repeat on other hand.

3. DO NOT REMOVE the dispersion film, it ensures proper adhesion to 2nd Coat.

4. Apply a 2nd thicker coat over the first; stay clear of cuticle and sidewalls.

5. Cure 2 minutes in light unit. Repeat on other hand.

6. DO NOT REMOVE the dispersion film, it ensures proper adhesion to 3rd Coat.

7. Repeat with 3rd coat, thinner than your second, but thicker than your first, as a sealer layer. Being sure again not to get product on the cuticle.

Cure and wipe off dispersion film with Prep & Clean. If product is applied smooth enough you will find no filing or sealing will be necessary.

However, if you need to perfect the finished shape, just file to refine product shape or surface, buff smooth, and clean with Prep & Clean. Finally apply Sealer again in usual manner, as described above.

If using One Component for a French fill, apply Ultra White Fill after the first thin coat. Cure, and then apply the 2nd coat…etc.

If your clients want any special nail art applications, rhinestones, 3D stickers, etc., they should normally be applied before you cure the last coat of One Component, Colour Gel or Sealer.

Ultra White Fill

Is primarily used for the “French fill”, i.e. to re-enhance the extended edge of the “French Manicure”. The objective is to recreate an appealing smile line and a balanced extended edge. Ultra White must be “sandwiched” between two layers of resin (e.g. Modeling Resin or One Component) and should not be applied on the natural nail unless a thin layer of One Component has been applied first (risk of lifting). Ultra White Fill is not suited for building a free edge.

Available in 7ml & 15ml

Application For Ultra White Fill

Preparation

1. Gently push back cuticles.

2. Lightly buff nails, removing shine.

3. Carefully file away any loose product, as this could be a lifting risk.

4. File down a “ledge” from the natural nails’ smile line to the end of the free edge, leaving some modeling resin or One Component on the nail.

5. Reshape entire nail (curve and length).

6. Buff nails smooth for best application

7. Dust off well with a dust brush.

8. Wipe nails with Prep & Clean, using a lint free pad, to remove oils, dust and to disinfect.

Application

1. Apply a thin layer of Ultra White Fill to the “ledge”, like a polish application.

2. Using a clean, dry brush, keep the brush flat to the natural nails smile line; create a crisp “French” smile line.

3. Cure for 2 minutes. Repeat on other hand.

4. DO NOT REMOVE the dispersion film, it ensures proper adhesion to Modeling Resin.

5. Apply 2 coats of Modeling Resin or One Component.

6. Wipe off dispersion film with Prep & Clean, using a lint free pad.

7. Gently file, shape and buff nails if necessary.

8. Wipe nails with Prep & Clean, using a lint free pad.

9. Dust off with dust brush, to remove any lint (optional).

10. Apply Sealer.

NOTE: Because of its consistency, you cannot build with the Ultra White Fill, therefore; you can only use this product when doing a fill on your client. If you need to build the free edge, then you will need to use the French Modeling Resin.
